Hope everyone had a fun-filled Halloween! We sure did! Kenedy had to dress up as a book character for school today and chose "Fancy Nancy." If you have a young daughter or granddaughter, you know who I'm talking about. If not, here's a picture of the book cover:
And here's Kenedy as her this morning:
(She even tried to match the pose!) She was so worried that I wouldn't get the hair right, and it took me about 30 minutes. She directed me the entire time, and we were both happy with it in the end! Here's another one of her being silly... imagine that!
Hadyn was a cheerleader. You might have seen this costume on Kenedy at the football game, but that's what Hadyn wanted to be. Sure made it easy on Mom!
What a Pair!
Hudson was supposed to be a Monster, but I bought his costume a little early, and it didn't fit tonight! So, we pulled his trusty Redskins jersey out of the closet and he made a good-looking little football player!
Kenedy's school had a "Country Fair," which in my day was called a "Halloween Carnival." Anyway, it was alot of fun! The girls played all the games and won lots of prizes. They even had a Haunted House where Hadyn almost broke the bones in my hand from squeezing so hard, but she was very brave!
Here's Kenedy ringing a 2-Liter Coke! She was so proud!
Hudson was the Official Candy Holder.
On a Fun Hayride with Daddy
Funny Story: When we were leaving the carnival, Hadyn wanted to put all of her candy in her Trick-or-Treat bag. I didn't want to have to find all of it, so I told her that if her bag was full when she went Trick-or-Treating she wouldn't get much candy because the people would think she had enough. Well after about ten houses, Hadyn hopped out one time and forgot her bag. I grabbed it for her and it was empty. I looked around the car and she had been dumping the candy in her seat so that her bag would be empty at each house! Very smart girl!
I made them pose on this stranger's pretty porch!
Kenedy fell asleep on our way home and Hadyn was bouncing off the walls because she had already eaten half of her candy! Halloween has come and gone and we're already looking forward to next year!
A Glimpse from Our Past Halloweens:
2003 - Chili Pepper
2004 - 50's Poodle Girl
2005 - Witch and Her Black Cat
2006 - The Tortoise and the Hare
2007 - Alice and the Queen of Hearts
So cute, love all of the pics from previous Halloweens. Time flies by, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteLoved all of the halloween pics from this year and years past! I think that Kenedy was much cuter than Fancy Nancy by the way (:
