Friday Night Dancing

John's Company Conference was this week and we look forward to Friday's Dinner and Dance every year!  We get to visit with alot of people we don't see very often and the kids have a blast running around and dancing!  This year's entertainer was Moe Bandy, and I wouldn't be upset if he was invited back every year.  He was terrific!  And Brad (Kristi's husband) and his band, The Big Outfit, opened for Moe.  They just might have been the crowd favorite!  I wasn't sure our kids would make it this year with all the illnesses, but Hadyn and Hudson had started feeling better just in time.  That doesn't mean we didn't overstay our welcome... we had two out of three screaming when we got in the car!  It was a great time, though, and we're looking forward to next year already!

OK... I Meant "My Poor Babies"

Yes, that's plural now!  I took Hadyn to the Dr. yesterday and she has a viral infection.  He said that she'll get worse for the next few days and then start getting better.  Ugh!  She has fever, a severe cough, and a runny nose that has made her entire upper lip really raw.  So, she's not getting much sleep, along with John, Hudson and myself.  Kenedy sleeps through all the screams and cries and then wonders why we're dragging in the mornings!

Hudson is doing a little better. His cough is still pretty bad, but he's sleeping better and seems a little happier. I think the constant holding him has spoiled him a bit, though.

Hadyn is such a loving sister, and it's been killing her not to be able to hold Hudson.  Well, I finally broke down and let her hold him.  They'd obviously missed eachother!

My Poor Baby

IMG_3569

Look at that face!  Poor Little Hudson came down with a bad cough on Tuesday.  We took him to the doctor on Wednesday and they said he had Bronchiolitis and put him on breathing treatments... again.  Well, after a really bad night last night, I took him back to the doctor today and he was diagnosed with RSV and two severe ear infections.  (Yes, they checked for both of those on Wednesday, too.  Guess it happened overnight?)  Anyway, he's been pretty fussy, but seems to find some energy for a smile here and there.  Here's a video I took of him watching Max & Ruby right after his breathing treatment.  This was his first treatment from his new Rx they gave him today.  I think it worked!

All of this started just as Kenedy was finishing up her antibiotics for Strep Throat!  If you remember my post about all our many sicknesses in January, I said that we'd start off our Healthy New Year in February, so I guess now we'll just push it to March...

San Antonio Rodeo

We've been frequenting the Rodeo alot this year!  We only battle the Carnival once a year though, and that day was this past Sunday.  It was a bit too windy for Hudson so Mema and PawPaw kept him at home.  The girls got armbands and rode everything twice before the Rodeo, and then again after the Rodeo.  It was alot of fun!  It's amazing how much difference a year makes!  Hadyn rode one ride last year and cried the whole time.  This year, she was fearless and rode everything!  They were so good, too.  When we just had two kids, it seemed like such a chore to take the two of them anywhere.  Now that we have three, when we do have just two out and about, it's seems so easy!  Here are some fun pictures from Sunday:

Since Kenedy was walking, if she spotted a climbing wall, she had to climb it!  So, they both gave it a go.  There was a boy (~10 years old) across from Kenedy and his mom kept hollering, "Hurry, there's a little girl catching you!"  She went up quite a bit higher after he came down.  (Sorry, I have to brag a little!)

Gosh, after looking through these pictures, I want to go do it all over again!  So maybe we'll go to the Carnival TWICE a year from now on...

The Hutton Girls are Here!!!

I'm sure most of you already know, but for those who don't... I have two new nieces!  Kristi and Brad's twin girls were born on Thursday morning.  Alex Christine weighed 4 pounds, 13 ounces, Avery Celeste weighed 4 pounds, 11 ounces, and they were both 17.5 inches long.  They are absolutely adorable little girls and are doing amazingly well for little 33-Weekers!  Kristi's mild preeclampsia became severe preeclampsia Monday night and then she developed pulmonary edema, fluid in the lungs, which made it very hard for her to breathe.  They did an emergency C-Section that morning and she instantly felt better.  She had to receive two pints of blood the next day because of excessive blood loss, which she wasn't too wild about, but it helped her a great deal.  I've been able to hold the girls already, which made me extremely happy, but I can't wait until they come home so I can hold them all day!  Here are some pictures from the hospital:

Kids are not allowed in the NICU, but the girls got to see Kristi yesterday after the rodeo.  They were happy to see first hand that she's okay.

Congratulations, Brad and Kristi!!!  We love the girls so much already and are dying to give them a Big Squeeze just as soon as they get home!

Hadyn's Candy Factory

Hadyn's Birthday Party was today and it was a blast!  She chose a candy theme and we found anything and everything made of sugar and passed it out to the kids!  (Sorry, parents!)  We had a cotton candy machine, snow cone machine, caramel apples, Lisa's cake, etc.  The wind was blowing through with a fury, but at least it didn't rain.  I always thought that her February Birthday parties would have to be indoors, but so far we're 4 for 4.  (I know... I shouldn't have said that.)  We can invite so many more kids having it outside, though, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that our good luck will last for next year, too!  (I'm posting alot of pictures, because Aunt Kristi and Uncle Brad couldn't make it.  We missed you!)
