This Might Take a While...

We've been super busy here lately, (for some reason, I feel like I've typed that before), and I've gotten behind on updating, and a number of other things...  So, to make this short and sweet, so you won't have to sit there for an hour reading this post, here's a quick update of what we've been up to:

Kristi and I are still trying to venture out every chance we get with all of the kids.  It's pretty hectic, but so much fun!  We definitely looked a little redneck here at Gametown Pizza.

Headed to see Jamie Foxx

IMG_6982

I know you're thinking, "What?"  If you must know, I've been a Jamie Foxx fan for quite some time.  No particular reason.  I just like him and his story.  So, I told John a while back if he ever comes to Texas, I want to go see him.  He was coming to Austin and John got me on the front row!  We both had a blast!  (John just might be a fan, too now!)

Somehow we ended up dancing at a Salsa Bar.  I mean "I" ended up dancing... John watched.

In the midst of all this, Hudson got some sort of infection or something that caused a rash all over his body and the skin around his eye turned dark purple and swelled shut.  He was running fever and was extremely fussy! The doctors put him on antibiotics, but a few days later, it started bleeding.  So, they told us to take him to the ER.  Of course, John was out of state, but my parents saved the day and met me there.  (I don't handle emergency situations very well at all, but I'm working on it.)  They set up an IV for antibiotics, which took forever.  His veins kept rolling.  It was torture for the both of us!

Their dose of antibiotics worked wonderfully!  He's almost completely healed now and we finally have our happy little boy back.  We're hoping it doesn't leave a scar on his perfect little face.

Kenedy had her last rodeo on Sunday.  She cried when we left, so we're looking for another circuit to take her to.  This child has been in everything.  Ballet, Tap, Soccer, T-Ball, Ice Skating, Gymnastics, Cheerleading, the list goes on.  She's never given anything 100% until now.  I'm pretty sure we'll be rodeoing for quite some time.  It's alot of fun for all of us, though, so I'm all for it!

Hadyn competed in this one for the first time!  She did the Goat Pulling (ride down, jump off at the goat, pull the ribbon off it's tail, run past the line).  She did amazing and I think she's hooked!

We squeeze in some fun time at the ranch whenever possible, but not near often enough.

Kenedy could beat a grown man in a Watermelon Eating Contest for sure!

That's it.  It might not take you an hour to read, but it took me an hour to upload.  Luckily, I hired a couple of guys to do the household chores while I sat at my computer.

Go ahead and read it one more time, just to make it worth my while!
