We had a successful Halloween this year! One Pumpkin Patch, Two Halloween Carnivals, Three Happy Trick-or-Treaters and Four Costumed Cuties!
I was having trouble coming up with coordinating costumes this year for four, so I suggested that they all just do their own thing. I figured that they would rather pick their own anyway, but the girls didn't go for it. They wanted to have a theme, which Mommy LOVES! So, we went with Peter Pan. I just knew the girls would be fighting over Tinkerbell, but... surprise again. They both wanted to be Wendy! Too funny! Obviously, Hadyn won. So it's Hadyn as Wendy, Garrison as Peter Pan, Kenedy as Tinkerbell and Hudson as Captain Hook. (Without his hat he apparently looked like Prince William. We heard that several times!) Here are some fun carnival pics!
Poor Garrison!
The Cake Walk - Our All-Time Favorite Carnival Game
And this was the Book Walk. Same game but you get to pick a book. Hudson was obsessed with this game! We lost him once and found him walking in the Book Walk. He was so proud of his books, too!
We went around, and around, and around...
Mema, PawPaw, Momo, Brad, Kristi, Alex and Avery came to play, too! We ended up hanging out on the stage in the cafeteria.
Kenedy and her friend, Sequoia
Kenedy won this HUGE jar of candy by being the one that guessed the closest to the actual number of gumballs. I was with her when she guessed and laughed at her number. I thought she was way off. That figures...
We went to Build-A-Bear to get the new Halloween Bears.
Hudson has gone with us here a million times, but has never shown any interest in making one. It looked like he was finally going to join in on the fun! He picked one out, got in line...
Then he crammed it in the lady's face. She told him that he would be next and apparently that wasn't good enough. He put it back and left. Crazy kid!
He could learn a little patience by watching his little brother. He never made a peep!
These next few photos have nothing to do with Halloween, but I had to include them. We stopped at this amazing restaurant on the way home that has a HUGE fenced play area.
Well, I look over and Hudson is visiting with these sweet little girls (much older than him, I might add) in the sandbox.
John and I were watching and talking about how cute it was... and then we went into Crazy Kid mode again.
Strangely, the girls weren't digging his behavior. So he settled for some cotton candy.
Ok, back to Halloween. We took the girls to Cirque Dreams at the Majestic Halloween afternoon. It was an amazing show! (Hadyn did say it was a bit too long.)
Then we were off to Trick-or-Treat! We started at Mema and PawPaw's! Kristi, Avery and Alex were just about to leave when we drove up! Aren't they the cutest little pumpkins ever!?!
Alex
Avery
Mom and Dad let Garrison stay with them and help hand out candy while we invaded their community! And let me tell you, I have never seen Hudson so excited in his life! He ran to the first house, flew open the door, and ran inside. I did not see that coming. I had to go get him from their kitchen. Embarassing. He hurried from house to house hollering "Trick or Treat" (one time he shouted, "Surprise!"), and said "Thank you" about ten times to everyone. He was showering us with candy in the car. Funny, though, not one time did he open any of it!
He beat us to the door everytime!
And this is what happened most of the time!
They weren't very excited to see this on the roof at one house! Yikes!
Or this
All in all it was a Super Fun night! What a great Halloween!!!
Looks like the kids had a great time... Love the theme its super cute!!!
